Swakopmund Youth Economic Hub

The Swakopmund Youth Economic Hub opened in 2020 to serve youth in Namibia's coastal region. Located in this popular tourist destination, the hub specializes in preparing young people for opportunities in tourism, hospitality, marine resources, and related sectors. Facilities include: - Computer lab with 12 workstations - Training kitchen for culinary programs - Multipurpose training room - Small co-working space for entrepreneurs - Community gathering area Programs at this hub include specialized vocational training in hospitality, culinary arts, tour guiding, and customer service. The Business Incubation program has a focus track for tourism and blue economy enterprises. The hub serves approximately 200 youth per month. The Swakopmund Hub has established partnerships with hotels, restaurants, tour operators, and other tourism businesses to provide internships and job placements for program participants.
